Nunavut Tunngavik Inc – HR Management Certificate

Nunavut Tunngavik Incorporated (NTI) is exploring the opportunity to offer a three-year Human Resource Management Certificate program to the NTI and Nunavut Inuit Organizations staff. Please see attached Appendix B which lists the ten credit courses that make up the Human Resources Management Certificate Program. This program will be delivered in Rankin Inlet, Nunavut by Algonquin College (with possible alternating locations/venues depending on availability of space outside of Rankin Inlet).

Algonquin College has several instructors who can work with NTI to be able to support the location of delivery, as the instructors are happy to travel and Algonquin College has delivered many of these courses over the last few years in Rankin Inlet, NU through the Government of Nunavut for their own staff. The full certificate has 9 + 1 prerequisite courses approved by the Human Resources Professional Association (HRPA).

After successful completion of the HRM Certificate program, participants will be ready to do their Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) designation which is exclusive to HRPA. HRPA would often exam preparation, however this will be looked into down the road (at or near completion of this HRM Certificate Program).
