QUVVARIARNIQ PROGRAM

We are excited to announce a Request for Proposals for training programs that will provide Nunavut Inuit with the knowledge and skills necessary to secure meaningful employment. Our organization is committed to empowering Nunavut Inuit by illuminating pathways to economic opportunities.

We invite eligible organizations to submit proposals, in accordance with the Makigiaqta’s Quvvariarniq Program Policy. The program has set aside $1 million for one year, allocating up to $250,000 for each eligible organization. Our goal is to foster progress and participation through the magic of learning.

PURPOSE

The purpose of this Program is firstly to benefit Nunavut Inuit and secondly to provide organizations an employee. This exchange will provide evidence and experience for potential career advancement for Inuit participants.

Makigiaqta Quvvariarniq Program (MQP) is a type of mentorship program that is provided by an employer to Inuit participants. The access to mentorship provides knowledge and skills essential to career advancement, counselling and social supports. The Quvvariarniq Program is to build capacity/support for Nunavut Inuit to strengthen educational and skills learning through Inuit-specific career advancement and career development in any one of the priority areas listed (Please see Quvvariarniq Program Policy).
