Quvvariarniq is a two-pronged program, with streams for individuals and organizations.

The Quvvariarniq Program is rooted in a vision to uplift and empower Nunavut Inuit. Makigiaqta Inuit Training Corporation is committed to providing a program that is easy to understand, accountable, fair, transparent, and reflective of Makigiaqta’s mandate. This Program strives to create avenues and fund opportunities for Inuit-focused education, mentorship, internships, and employment enhancement initiatives.

Makigiaqta Inuit Training Corporation is committed to providing a program that is easy to understand, accountable, fair, transparent, and reflective of Makigiaqta’s mandate. This Program strives to create avenues and fund opportunities for Inuit-focused education, mentorship, internships, and employment enhancement initiatives.

The objective of the Program is to offer engagement, funding, and hands-on support for Inuit individuals accepted into post-secondary degree programs. Makigiaqta provides additional funding avenues that support educational, training, and employment development initiatives, to enhance the skills of Nunavut Inuit.

The objective of the Program is to build capacity in Nunavut to develop and deliver high quality, Inuit-specific programs in the priority areas provided in Makigiaqta’s strategic plans. The program has set aside $1 million annually and can allocate up to a maximum of $250,000 a year for each eligible organization.

Partnership Program is designed for partnerships for large-scale initiatives to advance the strategic plans of Makigiaqta Inuit Training Corporation as administered and serviced by Nunavut Tunngavik Incorporated (NTI).
