The funds will be used to support the development and delivery of Inuit-specific learning and employment programs. Makigiaqta’s goal is to bring the level of Inuit employment in public and private sectors to a representative level.

-30-

For more information, contact:

Karen Flaherty

A/Director of Communications

Nunavut Tunngavik Incorporated

Tel: (867) 975-4914 Toll-free: 1-888-646-0006

kflaherty@tunngavik.com

www.tunngavik.com

Cate Macleod

Director of Communications

Department of Executive and Intergovernmental Affairs

Government of Nunavut

Tel: (867) 975-6049

cmacleod@gov.nu.ca

FOR FURTHER INFORMATION:

Kerry McCluskey

Director of Communications

Nunavut Tunngavik Incorporated

Tel:(867) 975-4914

Toll-free:1-888-646-0006

kmccluskey@tunngavik.com

The Makigiaqta Inuit Training Corporation’s Board of Directors met in Iqaluit last week to discuss and review projects from the open call for project concepts that was released in October 2017.
