To continue developing, delivering, and enhancing professional development training for Inuit to be able to work in Inuktut. This project will take place over a 6-year period and include multiple intakes of trainees in Iqaluit and communities in all three regions of Nunavut. Partnerships Program.

Recreation & Parks Association of Nunavut #youthleaders

  1. Build capacity in community to deliver program, provide access to facilities and employ Inuit leaders in the recreation sector and beyond
  2. Deliver quality programs in communities for children and youth, led by youth leaders.
  3. Increase and strengthen capacity of the community recreation sector in Nunavut through the development of resources and toolkits; certification and training.
  4. Use the recreation sector to support leadership development, job preparedness and provide employment opportunities for young adults (15-26)
  5. Maintain, sustain and enhance recreational facilities.
